Lane Ukura is one of Rhode Island's and south coastal Massachusetts most requested home inspectors, performing home and commercial inspections, as well as termite and radon inspections.  With a very strong background in construction for over 14 years, Lane thoroughly enjoys examining buildings to determine their soundness, or lack thereof.

Throughout Lane's career in construction, he was involved in many aspects from pouring foundations, to installing septic systems, to being a  crew leader/foreman in framing homes, as well as finish work.  Lane also performed exterior renovation work on the Bellevue Avenue Historical Mansion; Isaac Bell House in Newport, Rhode Island, one of the first "shingle style" designs by McKim, Mead and White, The shingling included a roof with Alaskan yellow cedar shingles per the original specifications.

 Lane also is retained for his expertise by the Westport Massachusetts Historical Society for his qualified opinions and inspections when they are in the process of purchasing historically significant properties in the Westport area.

Lane has been married to his wife, Tracy, for 15 years.  He is the father of two boys, who are both involved heavily in Little League baseball, Pop Warner football, and CYO basketball.  Lane takes much pleasure in coaching their teams, and enjoys taking the boys fishing.

Lane has performed over 3,000 home inspections since he began in this industry in 2001. Lane had previously worked at a large home inspection company for 9 years, and was with a smaller local company for a year prior to that.
